Daryl and Amir were a dream to work with from the start. Their vision was clear- inspired by the art deco architecture of the Chrysler Building (which they have a view of from their apartment window), but mixed with the sassy edge of a more modern New York. In other words', none of that Gatsby inspired stuff we were seeing so much of in 2015.
Daryl and Amir favored a monochromatic color palette in shades of gray and black. We created a folder out of rubberized paper with a laser cut peek-a-boo likeness of the top of the Chrysler Building to wrap around the cards.
The cards in the suite were letterpressed with black ink on light gray cardstock.
We duplexed the reply card with the same black rubberized paper we used for the folder and printed a custom art deco pattern with clear gloss for a very subtle effect.
The save the date, screen printed in gun metal silver, set the tone for the entire suite!
The interior of the folder held all the deets about the weekend of events including the after party at a secret location.
We closed the folder with a mega strong magnet!
We were super excited to learn that Daryl and Amir had cufflinks made using our D+A logo!!
The logo carried all the way through all the day of pieces including these cotton tote bags for guests' hotel rooms!
